History

“The future of India is shaped in her classrooms,” Pandit Nehru was very true when he uttered these lines because, certainly the future of many a great Indian is moulded in NSM. N.St.Mathew’s Public School has put up 37 years of glorious service in the field of education. The year 1973, saw the humble beginning of the school that was to make a name for itself. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Similarly NSM has risen from a humble dwelling to imposing buildings well equipped with latest state-of-art technology. The school is managed by the society of Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel. It runs classes from KG to X. It is recognized by the CBSE, New Delhi and prepares its students for AISSE through the medium of English. It is a co-educational school.

From the foundation stone that was laid on 16th March, 1975, by the then Minister for Primary Education, Sri Mandali Venkata Krishna Rao, to the present impressive sprawling campus, NSM has really come a long way.

The first batch of Class X appeared for the AISSE in 1979. We secured 21 National ranks in the AISSE (1984-85). With each passing year the no.of candidates appearing for the Board exam has been increasing steadily and the results have been highly impressive.

To meet the demands of the changing times and to evaluate the wholesome performance of the pupils, the CBSE had introduced the Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation(CCE). Pupils are evaluated on a 10 point CGPA (Cumulative Grade Points Average). The performance in this pattern is also outstanding.
